Drone footage posted on December 20 showed the trail of destruction left by Typhoon Rai on the western Philippine island of Palawan, after its powerful winds blew roofs off houses and caused power outages, according to local media.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) told media the death toll had reached at least 208, as 52 people remained unaccounted for.
Footage posted by Rodel Canales on Monday showed collapsed huts, roofs and walls torn off buildings, and trees strewn across the roads in the municipality of Roxas.
The typhoon made landfall over the municipality on Friday, December 17, a day after it hit the east Philippines.
