Drone Footage Captures Virginia Beach Tornado Destruction

The City of Virginia Beach declared a state of emergency after a tornado damaged dozens of homes on Sunday evening, April 30.

The tornado touched down around 6 pm on Sunday in the area of River Road and Great Neck, according to city officials, who estimated between 50 and 100 homes were damaged by the severe weather.

Drone footage shows the extent of the destruction in the Great Neck section of Virginia Beach on Sunday night.
