Drone Captures Peak Fall Foliage in Castle Hill, Maine

Vivid leaves transitioning across parts of Maine were coming into their peak on October 6, state foliage reports showed.

Drone footage taken by National Weather Service Meteorologist James Sinko shows the fall colors in Castle Hill in northern Maine on October 8, he said.

The state said that Maine Forest Rangers reported peak foliage, or 70 to 100 percent change, in northern and western Maine on October 6.

Gale Ross, Maine’s fall foliage spokeswoman, told local media that the upcoming holiday weekend would be the “perfect” time to view the state’s trees in color. Credit: Meteorologist James Sinko via Storyful
