Drone Captures Devastation Along Highway Near Kyiv

Drone footage filmed on June 8 captured scenes of destruction on the E95 highway northeast of Kyiv – the remnants of Russia’s failed attempt to invade the Ukrainian capital.

The video, shot by journalist Sergio Olmos, shows multiple buildings destroyed or damaged in the villages of Zalissya and Bohdanivka, about 10 miles north of Brovary and 20 miles northeast of Kyiv.

Heavy fighting took place on various parts of the highway between February and May and, in early March, footage showed Russian tanks moving through Bohdanivka.

Russian forces reached that area of Kyiv Oblast via Chernihiv Oblast. The border between the two regions lies about 10 miles to the north of the location depicted in the footage. However, they began retreating from the wider Kyiv area in late May after a five-week assault on the capital, and left Chernihiv Oblast on April 1, according to officials.
