Drivers Rescued as Floodwaters Turn Pennsylvania Street Into 'Lake'

Two people were rescued from cars stranded in floodwaters in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, on July 8.

Water from thunderstorms rushed along Clairton Boulevard, with several cars trapped in the fast-moving floodwaters.

Richard Arnold, the man who captured the rescue on camera, can be heard saying that the area had become “a lake”.

In the video, a rescue team ventures into the water to save a man and woman from their respective cars. At one point the man slips and falls in the floodwaters, but rescuers soon pull him up.
