A powerful waterspout formed off the coast of Golden Beach in Aventura, Florida, and was classified as a tornado after it made landfall on August 19, according to officials. No injuries were reported.
Miriam Benmeleh, who lives in Aventura, captured footage of the waterspout as it approached the coast. “This is happening right now in Golden Beach. Hopefully it just stays in the water,” Benmeleh says in the video.
