Dramatic footage shows Turkey quake live on TV

The death toll in a powerful earthquake in southern Turkey on Monday has risen to at least 1,014, with more than 2,800 buildings destroyed, the head of the disaster and emergencies management agency (AFAD) Yunus Sezer said.

This is the country's largest disaster since 1939, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan told reporters.
