‘Drag Race’ Alumna Tayce Szura-Radix Makes History On BBC’s ‘Christmas Strictly Come Dancing’
Tayce Szura-Radix has made history, becoming the first drag queen to win the UK version of Strictly Come Dancing.
Szura-Radix, best known for appearing on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK in 2021, triumphed in the Christmas special of the dance show, winning the contest with professional partner Kai Widdrington.

The pair scored maximum points from all four judges, and viewers clamoured for the Welsh performer to be welcomed back for the main series next year.
Last year’s Christmas special saw actor Jamie Borthwick take part, and he impressed viewers and judges sufficiently to be recruited for this year’s series, where he eventually placed seventh with dancing partner Nancy Xu.
Since coming second on Drag Race UK three years ago, Szura-Radix has released music, secured modelling contracts and a following of more than 600k followers on Instagram.
