KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 ― Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he knew of a clandestine meeting between Datuk Seri Azmin Ali and Barisan Nasional (BN) lawmakers last night but not what they discussed.

“Ya, I heard about it. I don’t know what they talked about,” he told reporters during a press conference today.

Yesterday, it was reported that 22 BN MPs met with Azmin and Pakatan Harapan federal lawmakers at the PKR deputy president’s official home in Putrajaya.

Unverified messages claimed Azmin and Hishammuddin were discussing ways to rally support for Dr Mahathir to remain as prime minister.

Umno disciplinary chairman Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali confirmed that the party’s members who attended the meeting will be investigated.

PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said Azmin will also be made to explain the meeting tomorrow, adding that other PH components were asking questions about this.
