Amid the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, multiple surrounding cities are doing what they can to help.
The city of San Diego and the tourism community have worked together to offer a safe place to stay for those affected by the wildfires, at a discounted rate. San Diego, located 120 miles south of L.A., is currently unaffected by the ongoing wildfires. Hotels in Orange County, Santa Barbara, Anaheim and other surrounding locations are also opening their doors at a lower rate.
