Dozens of houses burn down in huge fire North Jakarta, Indonesia

Dozens of homes burned down in the Teluk Gong area of North Jakarta on Saturday 17 July. Dozens of Jakarta firefighters were deployed to the scene. The fire has reportedly left 600 people homeless. Teluk Gong is a ramshackle, impoverished neighbourhood, where homes are packed closely together and particularly vulnerable to fire. An electrical short is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
