Western European powerhouse OG revealed their complete roster for the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season on Friday (9 November), with former Virtus.pro (VP) offlaner Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin coming in to replace Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf.

Despite winning the ESL One Stockholm Major and ESL One Malaysia 2022 as well as finishing in the Top 8 of the The International 11 (TI11), ATF left OG to replace Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi as Nigma Galaxy's carry player.

OG said in a statement "parting ways with a prodigy such as ATF was no walk in the park", especially after their quick and unexpected rise to becoming one of the best teams in the world as a young squad last season.

As a result, OG said they "wanted an experienced top tier player, and knew DM would be ticking that box perfectly".

The team added that DM's ability to play a more orthodox sacrificial offlane role "will give the team a different balance to last season, improving the games of our already established superstars". ATF notably played a farm-heavy semi-carry role from the offlane last season.

Prior to joining OG, DM played with VP for two years, first on the VP.Prodigy squad before moving to the organisation's main roster.

He was instrumental in VP's dominance over the Eastern European regional league during that period, even helping them finish in the Top 6 of TI10.

"We believe that the values DM holds are common to those that OG prioritize, and that his passion to play within this team will fuel him to push himself harder than any season he previously took part in. Ready to chase some fresh W's once DPC kicks off," said OG.

"DM is an amazing player and human being, he has a very precise approach to Dota and puts his mind into his gameplay every day, very excited to play with him! I believe that DM will fit well into our team and bring some cool and exciting ideas," added OG captain Mikhail "Misha" Agatov.

With DM completing their roster, OG seems set to once again become a dominant force in Western Europe. With the region teeming with so many great teams, such as Team Liquid with Michał "Nisha" Jankowski, Team Secret with Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan, and even Nigma Galaxy with ATF, the competition there next season is sure to be intense and make for some must-watch Dota.
