Renown global organisation Fnatic announced on Saturday (20 November) that they have completed their Southeast Asian Dota 2 roster for the upcoming 2021-2022 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season by signing Filipino players Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios and Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla.

Armel and Jaunuel will be replacing Ng "ChYuan" Kee Chyuan and Yang "Deth" Wu Heng, who were released by Fnatic in October.

Armel is known most for his time as the midlaner for TNC Predator, who released him to free agency back in September after over three years under its banner.

Meanwhile, Jaunuel was released by OB Esports x Neon shortly before Fnatic announced his signing.

Armel will be Fnatic's new midlaner while Jaunuel will be the position 5 support player, with Thai captain Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong shifting to the offlane and ceding the position 4 support role to Djardel "DJ" Mampusti.

Fnatic now also have four Filipino players under their banner in Armel, Jaunuel, DJ, and carry player Marc Polo "Raven" Fausto.

"Armel's vast experience across numerous LAN events including a Major championship is a welcome addition to the team. Always hungry for victory, "Chief" Armel looks to add up to his already stacked resume through his new journey with Fnatic. Jaunuel meanwhile is an up and coming support player that made waves during the Singapore Major where he led his team to an impressive top 6 finish. He is known for his unique playstyle and and flexible hero pool, playing heroes such as Faceless Void and Troll Warlord as a support - peak SEA spirit," Fnatic said of its two new players in a statement.

Fnatic will be competing in Division I of the 2021-2022 DPC's Southeast Asian regional league. The 2021-2022 DPC season has been split into three Tours for the Fall, Winter, and Spring, with the regional leagues taking place from November 2021 to July 2022.

Southeast Asia is looking to be one of the most competitive regions in the circuit once again with stacked teams in both divisions. Among Fnatic's competition in Division I will be a revamped TNC Predator roster comprised of rising stars under the veteran leadership of Kim "Febby" Yong-min.

Meanwhile, Division II will see the rise of new teams like Talon Esports, which entered the competitive Dota 2 scene with a star-studded roster headlined by Tal "Fly" Aizik, Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, and Damien "kpii" Chok.
