Three more teams have been eliminated from the Dota 2 PGL Arlington Major as Day 9 concluded.

Southeast Asia's BOOM Esports and Eastern Europe's Outsiders fell to Western Europe's Entity and South America's Beastcoast, respectively, in the second round of lower bracket elimination matches.

Entity couldn't enjoy their victory for long, however, as they were subsequently eliminated by Chinese powerhouse Team Aster, 2-1, in the lower bracket quarterfinals.

With the day's results, BOOM Esports and Outsiders exit the Arlington Major in 7th-8th place and with US$12,500 and 360 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points in consolation.

Entity bow out in 5th-6th place and with US$25,000 and 515 DPC points in consolation. It is a commendable showing from the rising Western European squad when considering they had to attend the Major with Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek standing-in for Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, who encountered visa issues.

Meanwhile, Team Aster have guaranteed themselves at least a 4th place finish and US$50,000 and 590 DPC points in winnings. They advance to the lower bracket semi-finals and will await the winner of the other lower bracket quarterfinal match between Beastcoast and Stockholm Major champions OG.

Here's a breakdown of all the matches in Day 9 of the Arlington Major:

Lower bracket round 2:

Entity 2-1 BOOM Esports

The day began with Entity eliminating BOOM Esports, the last Southeast Asian team in the Arlington Major, after a hard-fought 2-1 series victory.

BOOM showcased their signature aggression to start the series and were in control early into game one. However, Entity midlaner Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau on Tiny had other plans, as he repeatedly scored pickoffs on BOOM's cores to halt their momentum.

Entity were quick to use the openings made by Stormstormer, as SabeRLight on Enigma and Tobias "Tobi" Buchner on Lycan dominated the teamfights and led the team's push to a 33-minute victory.

Stormstormer notched a series-high 17 kills against three deaths to pace Entity's 35-17 kill lead in game one, with Tobi also having 11 kills of his own against three deaths.

BOOM quickly shook off their game one loss, as they once again took the lead early in game two.

The Southeast Asian squad held onto their advantage this time, thanks in large part to an excellent performance from Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer on Storm Spirit, en route to a 35-minute victory. Yopaj had a clean 10 kills and 11 assists to fuel BOOM's 26-7 kill lead in game two.

Entity struck back hard in game three, which was arguably the most one-sided game of the series. The Western European squad dominated the laning stage and never looked back, as they methodically ground BOOM down and forced them to concede the series after 36 minutes.

SabeRLight on Necrophos led the way for Entity as they closed out the series, notching 13 kills against three deaths while Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov also had a clean seven kills on a surprise support Sven pick.

The day wasn't over for Entity, however, as they still had to face Team Aster in the last match of Day 9.

Beastcoast 2-1 Outsiders

Beastcoast continues to be a menace in the lower bracket of Majors this season, as they took down Outsiders, 2-1, in the second series of the day to secure their second-straight Top 6 finish in a Major.

It was Outsiders who won the first game of the series, overwhelming Beastcoast in a 33-minute affair with a tri-core of Terrorblade for Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, Puck for Danil "gpk" Skutin, and Timbersaw for Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin.

DM led the way for Outsiders with seven kills against one death while RAMZES and gpk had six kills apiece.

Beastcoast gave Outsiders a taste of their own medicine in a 28-minute game two, pulling out their own tri-core of Wraith King for Héctor "K1" Rodríguez, Templar Assassin for Jean Pierre "Chris Luck" Salazar, and Lycan for Adrián "Wisper" Dobles.

K1 and Wisper both had six kills against one death to pace Beastcoast's 18-11 kill lead in game two.

Beastcoast kept their momentum rolling in the decider, rolling out a beastly midgame lineup featuring K1 on Wraith King again, Chris Luck on Pangolier, and Wisper on Venomancer.

However, it was Elvis "Scofield" Peña on a position 4 Snapfire that starred in the decider, as he notched 10 kills and 10 assists against two deaths to help Beastcoast close out the 2-1 series victory in 29 minutes.

Lower bracket quarterfinals:

Team Aster 2-1 Entity

The final series of the day saw Team Aster overcome Entity in a hard-fought 2-1 slugfest.

The Chinese juggernauts had a flying start to the match, stomping their Western European opponents in just under 40 minutes.

Monet "Du" Peng on Bloodseeker and Lin "Xxs" Jing on Dawnbreaker both notched a clean nine kills to pace Aster's 33-9 kill lead, with Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang on Storm Spirit also pitching in with eight kills against three deaths.

Entity then came back with a vengeance in game two in the most one-sided affair of the day. The Western European squad forced their opponents to concede after just 25 minutes and with a very lopsided 25-3 kill lead.

Stormstormer on Tiny fuelled Entity's dominant display with a clean nine kills and 10 assists while Kataomi on Zeus also had six kills and a game-high 16 assists against just one death.

After the first two games ended up as stomps, it was only fitting that the decider was a nail-biter.

While the laning stage was a wash, Entity absolutely dominated the midgame behind stellar performances from Stormstomer on Tiny and Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk on Bane.

However, Aster were able to hold on long enough for their lineup, featuring Monet on Bristleback, Ori on Death Prophet, and Xxs on Brewmaster, to start outscaling their opponents. With SabeRLight on Doom as their carry, Entity lacked the firepower to take on Aster's stronger late game composition.

Despite a valiant last stand from Entity, Aster eventually closed out the series after 55 minutes of action.

Ori finished game three with a game-high 12 kills against four deaths while Monet and Xxs pitched in with five kills apiece. Stormstormer had nine kills while SabeRLight and Kataomi on Zeus both had eight kills in the loss.
