Donald Trump Heading To Joe Rogan’s Podcast In Austin Same Day VP Is In Houston

Forget the battleground states, the closing days battle this election is turning out to be for young men, and Donald Trump is hoping to seal the deal with a sit-down with Joe Rogan later this week.

In the latest twist in the sometimes barbed back and forth between the former president and the ex-Fear Factor host, Trump will visit Rogan’s Austin, TX podcast studio on Friday to tape an interview. Sources close to both the Trump and Rogan camps confirm the October 25 interview to Deadline.

No date given yet as to when the podcast will post. But, with the November 5 election a dead heat and the GOP strategy centering on men to get them over the top, the Trump edition of the Joe Rogan Experience will likely be made available within a week.

However, officially, neither the Trump campaign nor Rogan’s reps responded to Deadline’s request for comment on Friday’s interview. If they do, this post will be updated.

In a scheduling swipe, Trump and Rogan’s long anticipated interview in Bat City is set for the same day that Vice President Kamala Harris will be in the Lone Star state too.

The VP is traveling to Houston to talk about the state’s near total abortion ban and the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court in 2022. Reproductive rights has proved a winning issue for Democrats in the past two years, with Harris the point person for the party. The VP will also campaign with Senate candidate Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) in his bid to beat incumbent Ted Cruz.

Though there has been talk of Harris appearing on the well-listened-to Joe Rogan Experience, nothing has been set in stone yet with less than two weeks to go before Election Day.

Though the free-wheeling and often rambling Trump seems like a natural guest for Spotify’s $250 million man Rogan and the two have exchanged pleasantries ringside at UFC matches over the years, the Celebrity Apprentice host didn’t show up on the podcast in either 2016 or 2016.

For a while it didn’t look like Trump would be showing up on the Joe Biden-mocking podcast this election either. “It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024,” wrote Trump on his Truth Social platform this summer when it looked like Rogan was leaning towards endorsing fellow vaccine skeptic Robert Kennedy Jr. in his independent race for the White House.

Knowing who his fanbase is, former Bernie Sanders supporter Rogan sought to make his stance clear by praising both RFK Jr and the assassination attempt surviving Trump:

That all shifted into focus after RFK Jr. himself endorsed Trump. The ex-POTUS was soon calling Rogan “a good guy” and hinting he may show up on his podcast — and now he is.
