Dominic Raab takes PMQs in Boris Johnson's absence

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has stepped in for Prime Minister Boris Johnson at PMQs today after the birth of his son was announced this morning. Mr Raab extended his congratulations to Mr Johnson and his partner, Carrie Symonds, before offering his condolences to Health and Social Care sector staff who have lost their lives to coronavirus. He also wished Captain Tom Moore, a WWII veteran who received national recognition for his NHS fundraising efforts, a happy birthday. These sentiments were echoed by the Leader of the Opposition, Sir Keir Starmer.
