Dolphin pod makes a splash in Chile

STORY: Video from local television showed a pod of grey dolphins happily swimming near Valparaiso bay on Monday morning.

Witnesses to the sighting said that the group was made up of between 50 and 100 dolphins, quickly attracting the attention of locals and tourists at Valparaiso port.

"We thought they were people swimming," said one witness.

The grey dolphin, also known as Risso's dolphin, is a viviparous and homeothermic species inhabiting warm and temperate waters in the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic Oceans.
