Dolly Parton starts viral profile picture challenge copied by thousands

She may be well into her 70s, but music icon Dolly Parton is no slouch when it comes to social media - as a recent post of hers proves.

The country music star took to her social media accounts recently to post a college of four photos of herself taken over the years, with captions for each indicating profile picture for some of the biggest social media sites, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder.

The LinkedIn profile picture was Parton looking smart on her 1987 variety show, Dolly.

Her Facebook photo was a wholesome one of her rocking a Christmas jumper, her Instagram photo a snap of and a guitar and the Tinder profile picture a racy one of her as a Playboy bunny.

She captioned the post: “Get you a woman who can do it all,” alongside a winking emoji.

The meme was posted across her social media accounts and quickly amassed millions of comments, mentions, shares, retweets and likes.

Being the beloved star she is, the I Will Always Love You singer was quickly imitated starting an online trend.

The challenge was picked up by some of the world’s most famous people, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Drew Barrymore, and Eminem.

Arnie captioned his photos on Twitter: “Where Dolly Parton goes, I follow,” with photos of him looking very important for LinkedIn, Wholesome and family orientated for Facebook, fun and animal loving for Insta and eventually seductive and revealing in the Tinder snap.

The challenge, open to comedic intent, was perfectly adopted by actress Drew Barrymore, whose photos included stills from past roles in movies E.T., Never Been Kissed, Grey Gardens and Santa Clarita Diet.

Eminem also got involved with some, er, interesting photo choices. He also changed the dating app section from Tinder to Grindr, alongside the caption, “Did I do I do this right?”

The challenge has been accepted by tens of thousands of people at least so far, but have you tried it yet?
