Dogs, trainers gear up for Westminster Dog Show

STORY: Witt and her dog Rowan, a 8-year-old Shetland sheepdog, demonstrated the agility course together at a preview of the upcoming show on Thursday. Rowan jumped through hoops, sped through a tunnel, and twisted and turned through the obstacle course.

“She tells me when she thinks I'm wrong, on the agility course,” Witt said, speaking of her dog. “She's very, very loyal, very devoted. She loves cookies, she loves playing on the beach, and she loves most of all applause.“

The 147th annual Westminster Dog Show kicks off in New York City's U.S. Tennis Center on May 6 and runs through the May 9.
