The real question is, do you still have time to balance out all of those "Espresso" replays, or is the writing already on the wall?

It's that time of year again — time for Spotify to remind you just how much Taylor Swift you actually listen to in a 12-month timespan!

Spotify Wrapped, the app's annual rundown of each user's listening data for the year, historically drops around the top of December. (Last year, it debuted on Nov. 29). The feature not only provides listeners with a personalized look back at the music they streamed the most over the past year, it also offers a look at global trends.

But one question continues to plague Spotify users — when exactly does the streaming service stop collecting data for it's Wrapped campaign?

In 2021, a Spotify employee reportedly told Newsweek the data gathering ended on Oct. 31, stating that the "hard cut-off is just for the sake of [the] campaign." However, Spotify refuted that claim in 2023 in response to a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter).

"Hmm, that doesn't sound right to us. Don’t worry, Wrapped is still counting past Oct. 31 👀," the post read.

The exact end date remains a mystery, but given that Spotify Wrapped tends to drop at the start of December, it seems likely that the cut-off is around mid-November. That gives holiday music fans a little over a month to indulge in as many repeats of "All I Want for Christmas Is You" without it being their top song every single year.

Sharing Wrapped results on social media has become a tradition over the past nine years since Spotify first unveiled the feature. As a result, panic around Wrapped has become a real thing as listeners fear their results — and maybe even try to game the system by listening to more tracks they deem cool near the end of the year.

However, life's too short to not just embrace a month where you played Sabrina Carpenter's "Please, Please, Please" on a loop or rediscovered your love for *NSYNC thanks to Deadpool vs. Wolverine. Let the world see the results of your Brat Summer — and just know your friends are probably a little nervous to share some of their top songs too.

As for which artists will top the charts in 2024, Swift is quite likely, and Sabrina Carpenter, Charli xcx and Chappell Roan all feel like safe bets, too. A few country artists could also pop up in the most-streamed songs list thanks in no small part to hitmakers like Beyoncé, Shaboozey, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone and more.

Last year, Swift, 34, Bad Bunny, The WeekndDrake and Mexican star Peso Pluma came out on top of the annual countdown.
