DJ Fuzz, rapper Waris team up for GE15 tune ‘Ini Negara Kita, Keluarga Kita’ (VIDEO)
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 — As Malaysia counts down to polling day, composer DJ Fuzz and rapper Waris have joined hands to produce a patriotic song.
Titled Ini Negara Kita, Keluarga Kita, it is in conjunction with the 15th general election this Saturday (Nov 19).
According to DJ Fuzz, he wants to fire up the spirit of patriotism among leaders and the people.
"The song is not from anyone's idea or to lobby and flatter the country's leadership," DJ Fuzz told Astro Gempak. He added that the song was not produced for any political parties.
While he had worked with Waris countless times, DJ Fuzz said this was the first time they were collaborating on a song.
On the song genre, DJ Fuzz described it being pop-based.
"It is more to motivate the spirit of the listeners and the people," said DJ Fuzz, whose real name is Farzwa De Attahar Emir.
"While we are busy arguing during the elections, I want to remind everyone that we are actually one big family.
"To me, Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family) is not an idea introduced by the government but it's a way of life. Keluarga Malaysia has passed the boundaries of political ideology. It does not belong to any political party," DJ Fuzz said.
"Now we argue due to differences in political stand. In actual fact, we are earning our livelihood under one tent, Malaysia.
"It is the spirit of Keluarga Malaysia that takes us out from issues of health, economy and politics," he said, hoping the song will be well received by all.
