[UPDATED 1/14/2020 at 11:06 AM]: Following the drama surrounding Dixie D'Amelio deleting her Twitter last week, the TikTok star is now defending herself against alleged records going around that show her as a registered Republican
"These are fake records," she told Pop Galore of the photo circulating Twitter. "I don't even know what I'm registered as. I voted and I said very clearly who I did not vote for and who I voted for." According to Dixie, her name is spelled wrong and her address is incorrect on the records in question.
Dixie even said she's been looking into these "records" and she has seen that other celebrities have also had their voting records faked. Now, it seems like she's done talking about the situation. "I said what I had to say," Dixie said.
Some aren't too convinced, though. One TikTok user, @insightofleo, posted the YouTube clip on TikTok, claiming that Dixie's rambling after being asked if she is a Republican is suspicious. People in the comments of the TikTok agreed.
"Well she's a republican," one commenter wrote. "That's literally the most republican answer she could have given," said another.
Others, though, were more supportive of Dixie. "Bro sorry she's literally 18 and she gets nervous," someone else commented on the video. "She has condemned Trump already." Another user added, "She clearly said multiple times she didn't vote for Trump. She's flustered..."
At this point, it seems like Dixie is probably done defending herself in this situation, so it might be time to move on to some more important issues.
Original story: Less than two weeks after her last scandal, Dixie D'Amelio is back to defending herself against haters online. The TikTok star has been accused of supporting Donald Trump before, but now, some think that she even deleted her Twitter in solidarity with the President after he was banned from the site.
On January 8th, Dixie tweeted, "Goodbye Twitter...it was fun" before deactivating her account. The timing of this decision was suspicious for many, however, because Twitter just so happened to ban Trump on the same day "due to the risk of further incitement of violence."
"Did dixie damelio just come out as a trump supporter......." one user tweeted after noticing the coincidence. Another asked, "is @dixiedamelio leaving twitter bc trump did?? that's what i've heard help," to which Dixie responded, "like no wtf."

Dixie later tweeted, apologizing for her "disgusting timing." She also took to Instagram to discuss the situation. "I don't f*cking support Trump," she wrote. "I've said it 100 f*cking times...The reason I deleted Twitter was because I spend way too much time reading hate...My timing was just awful LOL."
As Dixie noted, this isn't the first time she's had to clarify her politics. Back in May, someone found an old photo from her VSCO of a wall covered in Trump/Pence flags. Someone posted the pic on Twitter where Dixie responded.
"Again, this isn't my house!" she wrote. "At 15 years old I didn't give two sh*ts about politics. My parents have let my sister and I make her own decisions about what we support and what we don't. What I support is the spread of positivity/happiness and that's all."
This all comes in the wake of the attack on the Capitol last week. If you're still reeling from what happened, as I know I am, here are some tips on how to turn your rage over the events into some much-needed action.
