Disney has announced the release date for their live-action remake of Mulan which will be premiering on Disney Plus and in some cinemas.

The remake, which was meant to air in March, was put off for several as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. But the film has finally been given a set release date, and it's soon. The film, which has had a lot of hype in the months we've been waiting for it, will be launching on September 4 on Disney Plus and cinemas (in areas where Disney Plus isn't available). Disney Plus is a basically a huge vault of fan-favourites from Hamilton to Frozen II, and it's fully available in the UK. Subscription starts from £5.99 per month and you can sign up here.

Mulan is one of a number of long awaited live-action films Disney has remade in the last few years, from The Beauty and the Beast to The Lion King. There are also many more in the works including, The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey, Cruella (a 101 Dalmation spin-off starring Emma Stone and directed by I, Tonya's Craig Gillespie), Pinocchio, and Peter Pan.
