Disney World Will Bring Back Its Park Hopper Option In 2021 But With Some Important Changes

From Good Housekeeping

Walt Disney World announced this week that it plans to bring back its Park Hopper option next year, which allows visitors to enjoy more than one of its parks on the same day.

The option will be back at parks starting on January 1, 2021, according to a new blog post by Disney. From that day on, anyone who has purchased a ticket or annual pass that has a Park Hopper option will be able to visit multiple parks within the same day, but there will be a few changes from the typical format.

For instance, you must make a Disney Park Pass reservation for the first park you plan to visit that day, as well as enter that specific park before going to another. You won't be required to make a park reservation for any other parks you visit that day, Disney said, but that could be subject to change. You can also only park-hop during certain hours: Park Hopper hours will begin at 2 p.m. every day and end at the park’s scheduled close time. Disney plans to update those hours on DisneyWorld.com/ParkHours and the My Disney Experience app, and they are subject to change as well, so if you're planning a visit next year, be sure to check before getting your plans together.

Disney World suspended the Park Hopper option upon its phased reopening in July, and this will be the first guests will be permitted to park hop since the parks closed last March. This was just one of many health and safety changes that has been implemented during the phased reopening including temporarily suspending Disney Dining Plans, pausing crowded events like fireworks, and requiring masks to be worn in parks, all of which are still in effect.
