Didn't Love Your Aunt's Turkey? Here Are McDonald's Thanksgiving Hours

There could be any number of reasons you find yourself wondering if McDonald's is open on Thanksgiving. You could be on the road before or after the big event and in need of a snack or cup of coffee, or (heavens!) Aunt Susan could burn the turkey and leave you in need of emergency provisions and looking for fast-food restaurants open on Thanksgiving. And if McDonald's is your go-to place when things get a little hectic, you're probably wondering if the restaurant is open and what the hours are.

Is McDonald's open on Thanksgiving Day 2022?

Well, that's where it gets a little complicated.

"Ninety-five percent of McDonald's restaurants are independently owned and operated, so the holiday business hours will vary by location," a representative for the restaurant has previously told CountryLiving.com. "The best way to determine hours for your local McDonald's is to call ahead of your visit to confirm their hours."

All it takes to find out if your local McDonald's is open on Thanksgiving is a quick phone call or Google search. You just might might be able to satisfy your fast food cravings on Thanksgiving, whether it's for a Big Mac or a McFlurry.

Along with McDonald's (possibly) being open, there are actually a handful of other restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day you can dine at too. Of course, we all have our fingers crossed that things will go swimmingly on November 24, but it's always good to have at least one backup plan. Because no matter how hard to we try to make the day perfect, sometimes things go awry with the Thanksgiving recipes you have planned.

Of course, possible menu malfunction isn't the only reason to go out to eat on Turkey Day. If you're hosting this year's event, you're going to have to wake up early and stay up late to make sure everything gets done. (All those side dishes and Thanksgiving desserts aren't going to make themselves—although we wish they would!) And with all the cooking and cleaning that needs to be completed, you're definitely going to need some sustenance to get you through the day—even if it's just running to McDonald's for a quick lunch or coffee.

Just remember: No matter what happens on Thanksgiving, you have the option to let someone else make a meal for you—and hopefully that fact will alleviate some of your stress.
