How Did the Bear Family Cross the Road? With Help From This Minnesota Police Officer

Police in Duluth, Minnesota, stopped traffic to help a bear and her three cubs safely cross the road on Monday, April 27.

Police said they had a call about a mother bear and her cubs struggling to cross Duluth’s Grand Avenue.

When a patrol car arrived, the bear cubs had run up a tree after being frightened by traffic. After the momma bear coaxed the young ones back down, an officer pulled across the road to block traffic and allow the family to cross the road in peace. Credit: Duluth Police Department via Storyful
