Dicky Cheung to voice LEGO's Monkie Kid
2 Jul – Dicky Cheung is no stranger to the Monkey King franchise and, as one of the most recognisable faces for the role of Sun Wukong, has recently been given the chance to voice the character again.
The LEGO Group recently announced that it has invited the singer-actor on board to be the voice of the titular character of its "Monkie Kid" animated content, which means that fans can revisit the playfulness and vitality that the actor has always brought to the character.
LEGO's press statement also revealed that in addition to being the voice talent, Dicky is set to perform the theme song in Mandarin.
Fans will be able to catch a rare glimpse of Dicky's famous tongue-twister, which he added into the track by singing 119 words in a short span of 18 seconds within just one take.
Fans who heard the news rejoiced at having Dicky reprising the character, with one netizen posting, "Looking forward to this!"
"Monkie Kid" is set to premiere on NTV7 in Malaysia later this year.
