Beloved children's television hosts Dick and Dom have revealed what it would take for them to consider reviving their chaotic CBBC show In Da Bungalow.

In a new interview with LADbible, the duo – whose full names are Richard McCourt and Dominic Wood – agreed that there would have to be a reason for them to bring it back, either as part of an on-air charity skit or another "good cause".

But, they wouldn't just want to do it "for the sake of it".

"I think there is a very small percentage of programmes that have come back that have made people feel as good as they did when it first came out," Wood said, recalling the reception to recent reboots Blind Date and Supermarket Sweep.

"Generally the reason why people feel nostalgic about a programme is because it reminds them of a period of their life," he continued.

"I think when you try and bring that programme back in a different period of their life, the two worlds just don't gel and they just don't collide any more."

The 42-year-old concluded by suggesting that they "could do it" and if they did it'd probably be "very funny", but the pressure of living up to audience expectation – as well as what they originally created in the early 2000s – puts them off.

"After all those years of working on it and making it such a great programme, you wouldn't want then to end it with an 'ugh'," he explained.

Fair enough.
