Destruction, Flooding Seen in LaPlace, Louisiana, After Hurricane Ida Passes

Water rescues and damage assessments were underway in LaPlace, Louisiana, on Monday, August 30, after Hurricane Ida caused severe flooding and structural damage across the New Orleans area.

National and local emergency responders were dispatched to provide medical services across impacted regions on Monday.
