Despite Production Delays "Riverdale" Season Four Will Be Returning Very Soon

From Seventeen

  • Production of Riverdale season four was put on hold because of the coronavirus.

  • Despite that, The CW announced that the show will be returning in two weeks with the musical episode.

The fate of many of your favorite TV shows and movies has been up in the air ever since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. A lot of productions have been put on hold in order to keep both the cast and crew safe from contracting the virus, but of course this has delayed some shows' schedules.

When Riverdale's production in Vancouver shut down earlier this month, it was unclear how this would affect the remainder of the season, but luckily The CW just announced that the show will return this month with the much anticipated musical episode.

Episode 17 titled, "Wicked Little Town," which was originally supposed to air on April 8th, will now air on April 15th. According to IMDB, the episode will center around Kevin Keller's Variety Show. Kevin wants to perform a number from the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch, but Principal Honey won't let him. In retaliation, the students decide to each perform numbers from the show, turning the Variety Show into a musical.

Apparently, we will get episode 18 the following week on April 22nd, but then it's unclear how the remainder of the season will play out. We don't know how far along production and filming got before it had to be put on hold, so there's a chance that we will have to wait for this all to be over before we get the remainder of Riverdale season four.
