This Designer Just Launched an E-comm Site That Lets You Shop Like a Pro Decorator
Let's face it: Shopping for the home can be overwhelming. As many may have realized over the course of a year that saw more people buying home goods online than ever before, while there are no shortage of sources for furniture, decor, and home accessories online, sometimes the vast array of options can be daunting. That's why designer Robin Baron has turned her talents to an e-commerce site, leveraging her expertise as a professional to help you shop for your home.
"As a celebrity interior designer who's been in the business 30 years, it's all about me curating and vetting the best of the best products and giving the best of the best education, guidance, and knowledge, so clients can make the best choices," Baron tells House Beautiful. When a slow down in business during COVID caused her to reevaluate her strategy, Baron realized this attitude could be applied much wider than just her interior design client base. The newly-launched Robin Baron Design site is "a fully-immersive interior design community that provides expert guidance, robust resources, and a shopping experience that empowers you to design like a pro," according to its mission statement.
On the platform, users can shop by product in categories where Baron has personally sourced items from her favorite—and most trusted—vendors. They can also find tips on everything from color to Feng Shui, presented by a series of experts—Baron's industry connections.
It's all about providing shoppers with a more well-rounded (and educational) experience. "So many companies are all about product, product, product," Baron says. "We wanted a more enriching experience, and to really educate our customer."
Because, as Baron says, "this industry is all about trust," as an added bonus, Baron has committed to planting a tree with the nonprofit partner One Tree Planted for every purchase made on the site. "We're in such a critical place with the environment," she says. "We really have to take care of our planet." Outfitting your home and supporting the environment? Sounds like a winning combination.
