Here’s How the Design Community Is Stepping Up to Support the Black Lives Matter Movement

In the wake of George Floyd’s death on May 25, protests erupted in major cities across the world to express outrage over systemic racism. As the demonstrations continue, countless individuals and brands have turned to social media to show signs of solidarity for the countless people of color lost to police brutality and racism.

Countless decorators within the design community, from Mikel Welch to Bunny Williams, have urged their followers to speak out and donate to organizations fighting racial injustice like The NAACP Legal Defense Fund and The Minnesota Freedom Fund. Other organizations, like the Black Females in Architecture, are using their platforms to help education others on allyship.

Here, we’ve gathered a list of home brands and designers supporting the Black Lives Matter movement through donations and other creative causes. We'll keep updating the list with new announcements from favorite brands and tastemakers about the actions they're taking.
