Denise Richards to Star in New Docuseries Following Her Life and Family: 'Can’t Wait for the Adventure'
'Denise Richards and the Wild Things,' set to premiere on E! in 2025, comes 16 years after her family's last reality show, which saw her navigating her divorce from ex-husband Charlie Sheen
Denise Richards is returning to reality TV with her own docuseries!
The actress, 53, signed a deal with E! for a new reality show called Denise Richards and the Wild Things, seemingly named after her popular 1998 movie Wild Things, the network announced on June 10.
The series comes 16 years after her previous reality show, Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, which followed her and her family amid her divorce from ex-husband Charlie Sheen.
In the 30-minute episodes, cameras will capture the ups and downs of Richards' life with her husband Aaron Phypers and her kids. The Starship Troopers star and Sheen share daughters Lola, 18, and Sami, 20. After their divorce, Richards adopted a daughter, Eloise, 12, in 2011.
“My family and I are thrilled to return home to E!" Richards, who is also executive producing the series, said in a statement. “Sami and Lola were just 3 and 4 years old when we first shared our story and now we’ve come full circle. [Executive producer] Alex Baskin and I met when I joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I loved doing that show.”

She continued: “This is the perfect partnership for our family’s series as our lives are full of fun, love and unpredictability, and we can’t wait for the audience to share this adventure with us.”
In a separate statement, Rachel Smith, EVP, Unscripted Content, Lifestyle and Documentary at NBCUniversal Entertainment, said of the news: “Denise Richards is a pop culture force and no stranger to capturing the public’s attention. With her return to E!, we look forward to Denise and her family sharing their beautifully chaotic world with our audience, who will appreciate their candor and relatability as much as we do.”
Richards’ most recent reality TV stint was just four years ago, when she was a housewife on seasons 9 and 10 of RHOBH. She left the franchise in September 2020 after the storyline largely revolved around an alleged affair she had with former housewife Brandy Glanville, which Richards vehemently denied.
"I've been a fan of the show and had a lot of fun doing my first season. Obviously, my second season was very challenging," she shared on The Real in 2022. "I went back and forth with it and at the end of the day, I decided it was time for me to move on and focus on other projects that I have. I'm glad that I did it though."
Although she made a few appearances in season 13, Richards never fully returned to reality TV until now.
