Denice Lam frustrated by indecent film controversy
29 Nov – Miss Hong Kong 2022 Denice Lam recently expressed frustration over allegations that she has been involved in pornography, after an indecent video featuring a woman resembling her circulated online.
As reported on Mingpao, the beauty queen, who spoke to the media at a recent event, stated that she was troubled by the video, though didn't lose sleep because of it.
"The police have found the source of the movie, which is from a pornographic site in Japan. I was cleared of the scandal quickly and my innocence has been restored," she said.
Denice denied ever doing such a film and has also never been in a relationship, dismissing allegations that it was a video made by her and a former boyfriend.
However, she couldn't help but teared up when speaking about the rumour, saying, "I can't control it. I am just human, so I can only be myself. But there are things that are tough."
She revealed that she had been sent several screenshots of the video prior, but paid no heed to it.
"I never thought it would spread on the internet," she said, adding that she doesn't know who would be so cruel as to try and frame her.
