Demonstrators Gather for Anti-Mandate 'Freedom' Protest at Niagara Falls

A convoy of demonstrators united by opposition to the COVID-19 pandemic response protested in Niagara Falls, Canada, on Saturday, April 16, having traveled from Ottawa.

Footage posted by lawyer and political commentator Caryma Sa’d shows people marching through the streets of Niagara Falls waving Canadian flags and shouting “freedom.”

A group involved in the protest, Freedom Fighters Canada, says it is “demanding the end of all government mandates; the end of all tyrannical bills and legislature.” On its website, it adds, “Our government has overstepped its boundaries, we are here to put them back in their place.”
