Delhi hosts vintage car rally for auto lovers

STORY: Motor-enthusiasts from across the country gathered at the Indian capital's iconic Statesman House building for the 56th Vintage Car Rally which culminated at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

"We see people with a lot of love and care for the kind of vehicles," said Amit Yadav, the organizer and chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council. "It's the passion which they have and it's a pleasure to be here and be part of it," he added.

One of the most interesting editions to the rally was the 1914 John Morris Fire Engine which was bought by a Nizam of Hyderabad and was later given away to the Indian Railways.

Cadillac, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Statesman, 1914 John Morris Fire Engine, 1928 Ford A, 1939 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Sedan, 1933 Austin, 1966 Ford Mustang, Maserati 3500 GT Spyder Vignale were among some of the vehicles taking part, said media reports.
