Deer Forages as Snow Falls Over Woodland in West Virginia

A deer was spotted foraging at Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis, West Virginia, on November 2, as light snow fell over the state’s northern mountains and the National Weather Service (NWS) in Charleston warned of widespread freezing temperatures.

Davis resident Jed Drenning filmed the deer and shared the video on Twitter, where he wrote: “Love our four seasons…Crossed paths with this big fella foraging in the snow flurries this morning on my way out to Pendleton Point.”

Freezing temperatures were likely to persist over the “next several mornings,” the NWS said. Credit: Jed Drenning via Storyful
