Debris Swept Through Rushing Floodwater in Kentucky

The National Weather Service (NWS) warned people to “avoid driving through flooded/closed roads” in Louisville, Kentucky, and the surrounding area as severe thunderstorms moved across the southern United States on Tuesday, January 3.

Video posted by photographer Kurtis Ryan Coady on Tuesday shows debris, including a hay bale and trash can, rushing through floodwater after heavy rains in Fisherville.
