Debris Covers Beach in Santa Cruz County as Flood Warnings Continue

Flood warnings remained in place for parts of south-central California on Saturday, March 11, after excessive rainfall fell across the region.

On Friday morning, the severe flooding prompted evacuation orders which were later lifted by Santa Cruz officials, who said the threat of waterways flooding had decreased.

Local media reported parts of roads leading to Soquel were severely damaged by flooding.

On Saturday, flood watches for the region would remain in effect “until further notice,” according to the National Weather Service.
