Death toll rises to 4 in Miami-area condo collapse, 159 are missing
Speaking at a press conference on Friday morning, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said that the death toll for Thursday morning’s apartment collapse has risen to four and that 159 people were unaccounted for.

- Unfortunately, this has been a tragic night. We do have 120 people now accounted for, which is very, very good news, but our unaccounted for number has gone up to 159. In addition, we can tragically report the death count is now four.
I want to be very clear about the numbers. They're very fluid. We'll continue to update you as we have them. But we have confirmed four deaths. The search and rescue team worked throughout the night, and it was a very active scene, from above and below.
