‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Tops Consumer Excitement List for 5th Consecutive Week | Chart
What are the entertainment offerings that consumers are most excited about? It’s a question that marketers, distributors, advertisers and media publications are always asking.
ScreenShare, a data partnership between Screen Engine/ASI and TheWrap, tracks the Top 10 most-mentioned entertainment options every week and whether each has gained or lost momentum compared to the prior week. The chart lives on the Data & Analysis page of the WrapPRO Members Hub.
“Deadpool & Wolverine” remains No. 1 for the fifth week in a row and had an impressive uptick in mentions in its second week in theaters, while the viral “Paris 2024: Summer Olympic Games” sticks the landing again at No. 2.
“Twisters” holds its position at No. 3, “Inside Out 2” sits tight at No. 4 and “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” cracks the Top 5 a month ahead of its theatrical release. The Tim Burton classic will see the return of Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton as the titular “Beetlejuice” alongside franchise newcomer and “Wednesday” Star Jenna Ortega.
“House of the Dragon,” flying in at No. 6, concluded Season 2 this past Sunday. Landing at No. 7, “NFL Football” held its Pro Football Hall of Fame Game last Thursday to kick off the 2024 preseason. M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller “Trap,” now playing in theaters, debuts at No. 8. “EA Sports College Football 25” joins the list at No. 9, two weeks after its July 19 release. “Despicable Me 4” rounds out the Top 10.
