Deadly Flooding Hits Indian State of Tamil Nadu

The death toll from flooding in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu rose to at least 12 on November 10, local officials reported.

The region has received heavy rainfall for several days, causing flash floods that have swept away residents and damaged property. India’s Meteorological Department forecast additional precipitation in the southeast of the country as a low-pressure system moves in from the Bay of Bengal starting on Wednesday.
