Dax Shepard Playfully Directs Subway Traffic During NYC ‘Lovers Retreat’ with Wife Kristen Bell
The married couple of 10 years documented their trip with separate Instagram posts after enjoying a long weekend in the Big Apple
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell are enjoying some alone time in New York City!
In a series of photos shared by Bell on Thursday, the Good Place alum, 43, and her husband of 10 years did some sightseeing and dove into the food scene in the city that never sleeps. The first photo in the Instagram post shows the couple sharing a meal at Pizza Loves Emily in the West Village.
A short clip of the couple waiting for the subway also made it into the mix, in which Shepard, 48, appears to be jokingly directing traffic as commuters walk by.
“Snippets from a beautiful weekend in NYC ❤️,” the actress captioned her post.

In Shepard’s post on Monday, the Parenthood alum kept it simple with two selfies of him and his wife posing in Times Square. The second snap showed him sharing some cute PDA with Bell as he gives her a kiss on the cheek.
“NYC we love you. Three trips to @pizzalovesemily and four trips to @bubbys in three days!!!” he wrote in the caption, to which Bell responded, “My fav lovers retreat in a long time❤️”
The couple first met at a dinner party in 2007, but sparks didn’t fly until two weeks later when the pair reconnected for a Detroit Red Wings game. Shepard later popped the question in 2009 with a quiet proposal and the pair welcomed their first child together, daughter Lincoln, now 10, in 2013.
After tying the knot in Beverly Hills in October 2013, the couple welcomed another daughter, 8-year-old Delta, in 2014.

Ahead of their 10th wedding anniversary in October, Bell opened up to Entertainment Tonight about how the pair have managed to maintain a healthy relationship for over a decade now.
"Common goals, seek them out. Our kids are a common goal, right?" she said, referring to their daughters.
"People are like, 'Oh, I wouldn't be able to work with my husband or wife or partner.' For me, I want another common goal with him,” she continued. “I respect him so much creatively. I have so much trust in him. Of course I want him to be my director or my scene partner."
