Dark Clouds Seen Near San Pedro, Belize, as Hurricane Lisa Approaches

Overcast skies were seen near San Pedro, Belize, as the National Hurricane Center (NHC) forecasted that Hurricane Lisa would make landfall on Wednesday, November 2.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize issued a hurricane warning for the country’s coast and said the hurricane would bring heavy rainfall and tropical storm-force winds.

Belize Rural South authorities said residents were not permitted outside after 10 am and that they should be home preparing for the hurricane.

According to local news reports, shops and businesses were asked to close at 10 am, and residents were asked to stay indoors until an ‘all clear’ was issued.
