A tornado watch was issued for several North Carolina counties on Thursday, February 6, as severe weather moved across the state, local media reported.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a tornado warning for Charlotte and surrounding areas, and warned of possible penny-sized hail. A severe thunderstorm warning was also in effect until 12.45 on Thursday.
