Danish Fans Await National Team Bus Ahead of Euro 2020 Match

Soccer fans gathered in Helsingor, Denmark, on June 17 to cheer the Danish national team ahead of their Euro 2020 match against Belgium.

Footage shared by the Helsingor Municipality shows spirited fans wearing the team’s jerseys and waving Danish flags. Emergency service crews released a giant flag of Denmark from the top of a fire truck.

Denmark played against Belgium at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, where the match was paused after 10 minutes to applaud absent Danish player Christian Eriksen, whose jersey number is 10. Eriksen collapsed from cardiac arrest during his team’s game against Finland on June 12, according to Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen.
