Daniel Wu says goodbye to "Into the Badlands" fans

12 Feb – With the first of the final eight episodes of "Into the Badlands" airing soon, lead actor Daniel Wu recently took to Instagram to express his thoughts about it.

On 11 February, the actor shared a couple of clips of the show, writing, "Good news always comes with bad news. First the good: [Into The Badlands] returns. The final episodes premiere on [AMC] on March 24. The bad: after these 8 episodes air that will be the end of the show."

He continued, "The bad is obviously a lot worse than the good, especially for all of you who have supported with so much passion over the past three seasons. Thank you for your support. We always had you in mind while making this as we wanted to give you the best martial arts action show to ever appear on tv and I think we achieved that. But that wouldn't have been possible without you! So thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and co-produced by Stephen Fung, the first episode of the post-apocalyptic show aired in November 2015. However, on 9 February, it was announced that AMC has decided to end the show after three seasons.

Daniel plays the role of Sunny (inspired by the Chinese Sun Wukong character), head clipper to the Badlands' most powerful baron, Quinn.
