Daniel Craig Shares Rare Comment About His 6-Year-Old Daughter Grace with Wife Rachel Weisz
The couple welcomed their daughter together in September 2018
When it comes to choosing roles, Daniel Craig is keeping his 6-year-old daughter in mind.
The actor spoke to The New York Times about his new movie Queer, sharing that although starring as James Bond in the Bond franchise has given him the flexibility to choose certain jobs, now that he's done with the role he's had to be more open with his career.
But noting that he has a young child at home, Craig thinks about his daughter Grace as he decides what roles to consider.
"I've got a 6-year-old at home," says the actor, who shares his daughter with his wife, actress Rachel Weisz, 54. "And I don't want to be away from home as much as I have in the past."

Alongside his younger daughter, Craig is dad to daughter Ella, 32, whom he shares with ex-wife Fiona Loudon. He is also stepdad to Weisz's son Henry, 18, whom she shares with ex Darren Aronofsky.
While appearing on a 2023 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Weisz shared that her then-4-year-old daughter got a little too "obsessed" with Star Wars after watching it with her father.
"It was like a father-daughter bonding experience, and they started on the original ones," Weisz told host Stephen Colbert. "I'm not that deep into it, but my daughter got obsessed. She kept saying, 'Google this. Google this: What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?'"
"She wants to know everything," she added. "She's obsessed with the mythology and these characters are so real for her."
Weisz said Grace's fascination with the movies was getting a little "too intense," so her father stepped in to tell her that Star Wars "is broken."
"We were in London when this happened," Weisz said. "[Grace] said, 'Dad says Star Wars is broken.' So they can't watch it anymore. And we just got to New York and she said, 'Is Star Wars broken in New York too?'"
"And so I said, 'Yeah, yeah it's broken,'' Weisz joked.
