Dance party on highway during serious traffic jam as travel holiday begins in China

On the first day of the Labor Day holidays on April 29, the Beijing-Harbin Expressway in the Panjin section of Liaoning Province experienced a major traffic jam due to the high volume of travellers. To pass the time while waiting for the road to clear, a group of elderly women started a dance party on the highway. Witness Liu said that they were travelling from Tianjin to Dalian, which normally takes about nine hours, but due to the traffic jam, it took them 15 hours to reach their destination. The video was provided with local media’s permission.
