Football Focus presenter Dan Walker may have apologised for Josh Denzel swearing live on the show, but it turns out the Love Island star didn't actually utter an expletive at all.
In today's (June 20) instalment of the child-friendly sports programme, the BBC Breakfast host was joined via video call by Josh and Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha.
During the conversation, Josh brought up his housemate Jon, who's "a massive Palace" fan, as well as the fact that he's an avid runner.
However, it appeared as if he got a bit carried away while they were chatting about how he ran "f***ing five marathons in five days" for the charity CALM.
Following the broadcast, Walker took to Twitter to say he was "really sorry about the swearing" viewers might have heard.
"I know a lot of kids watch the show and we are trying to work out what happened," he continued. "Apologies."
Later though, Walker returned to his social media account to reply to his original tweet, explaining that the team had investigated and concluded that Josh didn't need to put a penny in the swear jar after all.
"It was the combination of trying to say, Five marathons... in... for Calmzone & a dodgy zoom line. Sorry if you had to have a surprising conversation with your children," he added.
"Thanks Dan, VAR came in useful there," Josh, who appeared on the aforementioned ITV2 series in 2018, wrote back.
